Eric Salinas

Eric is a music educator and performer based in Orange County, California. He received his B.M. in classical guitar performance from CSU Fullerton, where he studied under David Grimmes and Richard Turner. He received his first guitar at the age of 14 and by the age of 15 started performing with local groups that varied from Mexican trios, Rock/Rockabilly to classical. He now performs in his own world music group Odmoia and the musical group Zetune.

As much as Eric is passionate about music and performing, he is equally passionate about teaching and music education. With 10 years of teaching experience, he has structured his own philosophy for teaching with the goal to make each student feel comfortable with their instrument.  Aside from guitar and performing, Eric has a great interest in other musical instruments such as accordion, ukulele, among ther non conventional instruments, in addition to music history and theory, languages and culture.
