Morgan Powers

Morgan Powers is delighted to join the Musika Studio team as a beginning voice, piano, and guitar instructor. She is a lyric soprano with an extensive classical singing background, a soft spot for musical theatre, and a passion for teaching students. Specializing in audition techniques, she is currently a private voice and piano teacher at Songbird Studio, Glee/Show Choir Director at Arts & Learning Conservatory, and a soon-to-be Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Vanguard University.  She was the recipient of the VU’s Music Department’s Award of Excellence in Music Theory in 2022. Additionally, she has the immense privilege to be a section leader in their university choir, One Voice, and director of their beauty shop quintets. Morgan grew up immersed in the performing arts, primarily at Biola Youth Theatre and Imago Dei Children’s choir (formerly Make A Joyful Noise! Choir) and later received her formal acting/theatre training at South Coast Repertory through their Acting Intensive Program. Morgan is a semi-professional singer who has performed in venues such as Segerstrom Center for the Arts, The Muckenthaler Center for the Arts, Mariners Church in Irvine, and most recently Musical Theatre Orange County. Favorite roles include: Maria (West Side Story), Clopin Troulliefou (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), Miss Andrew (Mary Poppins), Arista/Princess (The Little Mermaid), Lead Dancer (Singin’ In The Rain).
