Daniel Ujifusa

Daniel Ujifusa is percussionist and vocalist with a passion for music education. He completed his B.A. in Music Education and Percussion Performance at Concordia University Irvine in 2022 and he is currently enrolled part-time completing an emphasis in Vocal Performance. Daniel teaches percussion at three schools in Orange County where he works with students in marching band, concert orchestra and contemporary drumming. He has performed at a high level in a wide variety of fields including choral, orchestral, jazz and handbells.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities Daniel is also recognized as a skilled conductor in the handbell world. He conducts multiple advanced ensembles, as well as a church handbell choir. He will also be joining the board of Handbell Musicians of America Area 12 (Southwest region) and has been involved in performances at the National Seminar, participated in seven tours across the United States, as well as having consulted for several television appearances. Daniel is committed to the development of the art of handbell ringing and is an advocate for bringing the instrument into the mainstream.
